Everyone knows this one. This lady has been around forever and her reputation for lasting about that long too (forever) in a vase is well known. The Madame of peony, Sarah has many shades of pink. Originally a bubble gum pink, but crossed so many times over the years probably with the assistance of bees, we often see Sarah's in ranges from soft, blush pink to a warm dark pink with red flecks. Our newest fields of Sarah tend to be very blush with little or no red flecks. So you can specify the old or the new color of Sarah's when you order and we'll do our best. This is one we can add stem length if you need it for large, tall arrangements. Just let us know early so we can cut to order. Bud size Triple AAA. 60cm stem length. Late season bloomer usually available week three or four.

Shipping is free. We ship Fed Ex priority overnight. You will receive an e-mail when your peonies are shipped with a tracking number. You can contact Fed Ex if you have questions about delivery times.

Caring For Your Lovely Peony

Cleanliness truly is important with cut flowers. Make sure your vases are clean, use clean water and change your water (cold) every 1 or 2 days to extend the life of your flowers.

Prepare your clean vases by adding warm water and the floral preservative we’ve provided.

Remove the flowers from the box, using sharp scissors, recut the stems diagonally at least 1 inch from the bottom creating a fresh surface for water absorption.

Immediately after cutting, place the flowers in your freshly prepared vase making sure to remove any leaves that might be submerged in the water as they will rot and shorten the life of your bouquet. Place your vase in a cool spot for at least 2 hours while flowers take up the warm water.

If you expose your flowers to warmer environments, the buds will open within 24-36 hours. Keeping them refrigerated will delay the bloom and allow you to ‘plan’ their opening. When refrigerating, place the buds in a sealed plastic bag.
